One hundred percent of funding comes from individual donors. This is a chance for our SAYA community to provide invaluable and transformational opportunities to our remarkable students.
ABOUT THE SAYA SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Established in 2014, the SAYA Scholarship Fund is a need-based, individual donor-supported initiative dedicated to helping New York City’s South Asian youth mitigate the costs of attending college. These scholarships range from $4,000 - $20,000, distributed over eight semesters. These awards complement the organization’s efforts to support our alumni through their higher education journeys.
COLLEGE SUCCESS PROGRAM
Our Scholarship Fund is part of SAYA's larger College Success Program. With firsthand knowledge of the challenges they face in earning their degrees, we extended our support beyond the high school years.
The program provides students with the support needed for a smooth transition into college and independence. SAYA advisors provide academic and personal guidance throughout their years in college. Professional development opportunities are also introduced through a variety of activities such as resume-building workshops, networking mixers, and career panels.
