CAREER MENTORING PROGRAM

Volunteers will work closely with SAYA youth through college and career interests and the college application process. This can include brainstorming, writing, and editing personal statements, supplementary essays, scholarship applications, and career advisement. SAYA youth, staff, and corporate sponsor work collaboratively to build a customized curriculum.

Internships or Externships

Corporate partners can provide opportunities to have SAYA youth apply to internship or externship programs to gain insight into what a professional environment consists of.

Company VISITS

Organizations will host a group of SAYA youth to provide space for students to explore various industries, professions, and career paths. Corporate partners can collaborate with SAYA on planning and implementing intimate skill-building workshops such as resume writing, interview preparation, and career mapping.

PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING MIXER

Networking is one of the most important skills requiring practice. During these mixers, our youth network with professionals from various industries and receive feedback on their resumes and cover letter to make them stronger candidates for internships and jobs.
