Physical Health
NYC has Mobile Covid Testing Units visiting different locations throughout the five boroughs. Click on the link to get updated locations.
If you test Positive for COVID-19, check out the NYC Test & Trace Corps website to help get everything you may need, from free support to care and even free hotel rooms.
GetCoveredNYC helps New Yorkers enroll in health insurance with dedicated specialists who can assist you in your language. Complete the form to receive free health insurance enrollment assistance from a Specialist. You can also call 311 or text CoveredNYC (SeguroNYC en Español) to 877877.
Mental Health

Disaster Distress Helpline (DDH): Call 1-800-985-5990 and text "TalkWithUs" to 66746 for crisis counseling and support for anyone in the U.S.
Safety planning for domestic violence survivors: Sanctuary for Families.
Food
GetFoodNYC is a COVID-19 Emergency Food Distribution program that helps people get meals for free. This program does not require a sign up or ID.
Food Bank for New York City: list of soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, and SNAP enrollment sites by neighborhood.
City Harvest also maintains a list with the city. Click here for their list.
Interfaith Assembly on Homelessness and Housing has a list of meal programs and pantries by borough.
If a beneficiary receives SNAP already, the Health Bucks program is available to stretch those funds farther.

Visit ACCESS HRA to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/food stamps).
NYC Department for the Aging provides home-delivered meals are available for seniors ages 60 years and older who may have disabilities, access, or functional needs.
Foodbank NYC has an interactive map with providers who have switched to “grab and go” meals and pantry bags.

Encore Community Services delivers meals for homebound seniors.
Invisible Hands assists with safe, free deliveries for NYC’s most at-risk citizens facing COVID-19. (Note: only delivery is free, people still have to pay for their goods.)
Housing
If you are facing eviction, you can visit the New York City Tenant Resource Portal to get help regardless of income or immigration status.
In some instances some people may be able to freeze their mortgage payments. Go to Moratorium FAQ for more information
National Grid, other major New York utilities suspend shut-offs during pandemic. Check this link for more information.
If you are unable to pay your rent, you can apply for a Cash Assistance special grant request to get benefits for emergencies.
Households that have experienced a complete income loss may qualify for the Zero Income Policy with the New York City Housing Authority (718-557-1399).

Financial assistance grants for domestic abuse survivors are through the Survivor Support Fund, a partnership between the Zakat Fund of NYC, the Islamic Center at New York University, and Pillars of Peace.

NYS Department of Labor is waiving the seven-day wait period for unemployment insurance benefits: Unemployment Insurance.

Open Road Ventures has a fund offering emergency working capital grants and loans to organizations involved in flattening the curve.
NYC Employee Grant Retention Program offers small businesses with fewer than 5 employees a grant to cover 40% of payroll costs for two months to help retain employees.

Mutual Aid NYC is a network of groups organizing to provide aid and support to New Yorkers in the midst of the pandemic.

NYC Veterans’ Needs
The NYC Veterans Alliance is launching Veterans Mutual Aid - NYC Metro a network for intake and coordination of incoming requests from veterans and family members in need. Click Here to apply.
NYC Veterans Alliance is also maintaining and updating a comprehensive resource list.
Mental Health Support for Veterans: Call 311 to get connected to trauma counseling and crisis intervention support. Veterans can also access mental health support by calling the Veterans Crisis Line: 800-273-8255.
Beware of Scams
Scams appear to be rampant in our communities where individuals are claiming to have the COVID vaccine. Please be aware that a COVID vaccine does not yet exist. Report these and other COVID scams to the Office of the New York Attorney General Letitia James.
